At Washington Kids Foundation, we believe that all youth deserve the opportunity to succeed.
Our goal is to help the youth in our community reach their full potential by developing the building blocks for a healthy, productive and independent life. We’re convinced that once the foundation is in place – our youth will not only make the most of their life, they will go on to achieve remarkable things.
Our after-school, evening and school break Life Pillars programming – made up of Fit For Life, Lead For Life and Learn For Life elements, is designed to give youth ages 5-18 a solid foundation on which to build a great life.
We provide a positive, safe environment and team of coaches, mentors and advocates dedicated to helping youth develop the skills needed to thrive, such as good decision making, effective study and social skills, leadership, dealing with peer pressure, nurturing their bodies through healthy food and fitness choices, and much more.
Washington Kids Foundation operates two facilities built specifically to give youth a fun, safe place to call their own. Run by trained staff and volunteers, the 5,500 square foot multi-use centres in North Vancouver and Surrey are well-equipped with a fitness room, computer/study room, peer lounge, kitchen, lockers and more.
“Our vision is to remove the barriers preventing our youth from developing physical literacy, fitness, self-confidence and life skills. We are committed to helping them lay down the building blocks for a positive future.”

We’ve supported local youths since our inception in 2009, and watch proudly as our kids go on to achieve great things — university scholarships and degrees, professional athlete contracts and much more.
